Leaf Clean-Up

October 30, 2019

It is very important to remove the leaves from your lawn in the fall and winter.

If leaves are left on the lawn, it creates a layer of thatch. Thatch forms a barrier that blocks water, nutrients, and healthy air flow from getting down to the root system of your grass. If leaves are matted down, they can even keep new grass blades from emerging next spring. It is recommended to rake, blow, or bag your leaves. Do not mulch the leaves into your lawn or scalp your lawn in the Fall. If you cannot get your leaves up before you are due for your next application, our techs are trained to blow them aside in order to effectively perform your treatment.
